What’s changing?
Asda is moving from Walmart’s Retail Link system to its own Supplier Portal, which includes Asda Data and Reporting (ADR). This follows Asda’s separation from Walmart. The rollout is happening in phases, with stores and depots converting in batches.
How Crisp SKUtrak is supporting the transition
We’ve built a connector that pulls data from ADR, giving you a complete view of Asda sales, stock and supply. We're now working with Asda to manage the rollout of this connector. The connector is currently in evaluation with a select group of Crisp SKUtrak customers; feedback has been positive, and we expect to make it available more widely in the near future once Asda gives approval.
Getting Connected to ADR in Crisp SKUtrak
To register your interest in the ADR connector, contact your Customer Success Manager or email skutrak-support@gocrisp.com. You can also ask your Asda buyer to support your request.
Once approved, you’ll be able to connect Crisp SKUtrak to ADR. Follow this guide to complete the setup.
ADR Connector FAQs:
Q. Why has my new user been rejected?
A. We’re working with Asda to improve the onboarding process and reduce user rejections.
Q. Are my Retail Link supplier codes valid in ADR?
A. ADR accounts do not map directly to Retail Link accounts. We’ll help you ensure the correct supplier codes are used.
Q. Why is my ADR connector still showing as ‘validating’?
A. Validation can take up to 48 hours. If it still hasn’t validated, your ADR access may not be fully configured. We’ll work with Asda to resolve this.
Q. If I am connected to ADR, should I still update my Retail Link Bot token where prompted?
A. We no longer retrieve any data from Retail Link and therefore this process is not required.
Q. Are any metrics missing from ADR?
A. ADR currently lacks ranging and traited information. We’re working on ways to maintain continuity until Asda reinstates this data.
Q. Will data be available at the same time as before?
A. Currently, ADR makes data available later in the day than Retail Link, so your Crisp SKUtrak service will finish updating later. You may also see partial data for the latest day alongside delays in your KPI email schedule, as both are dependent on waiting for ADR to update. We always aim to collect data as early as possible, and we’ll adjust our schedule if ADR update times improve.
Q: Why are certain products missing in my ADR feed?
A: We have been advised that certain products are missing because they are classified by Asda as multi-supplied - meaning they are mapped to more than one supplier. Currently, the ADR application does not support multi-supplied articles, and Asda blocks these cases in the feed. This limitation has already been logged in the Asda project team’s backlog and will be addressed based on prioritisation. In the meantime, if you require urgent access to any missing data, please contact your Asda representative, who can provide the information manually.
