Use this guide to learn how to use the Global Estate Over Time Dashboard
The Global Estate Over Time dashboard lets you compare performance between retailers. Explore every metric over the past three years to gain insights into Category and SKU trends. Use it to:
- See how metrics change over time, broken down by category, brand, SKU or Retailer
- Dive into specific periods by selecting them on the time series.
Setting up the dashboard
The dashboard gives you six configuration options in the top bar, from left to right:
- Product Grouping: Change whether the breakdown bar chart shows by Total, Category, Subcategory, Brand or SKU. The default is Total.
- Retailer or Total: Select whether the data is broken down by retailer or not. The default is by Retailer.
- Select metric: Determine the metric shown in all of the dashboard charts. The default is Sales Value.
- Cumulative or Actual: Show your chosen metric on the time series as either Actual (the value for each period) or Cumulative (a running total over time). The default is Actual.
- Start Date: Set the start date for your window.
- End Date: Set the end date for your window.
- Time breakdown: Set the time breakdown to view the data by Day, Supplier Week, Calendar Week or Calendar Month.
Dashboard View
There are three types of components available within the dashboard view, from top to bottom:
- KPI tile: The KPIs at the top of the page display the total for your selected metric over the chosen date range. Depending on the ‘Retailer/Total' setting above, results are shown either by retailer or as a total.
- Breakdown bar charts: The bar chart can be broken down by total, category, subcategory, brand, or SKU and shows the total for the selected metric across the selected date range. If you have filtered dates on the time series (see below), the breakdown will feature a lighter bar in the background to represent the entire date range. The darker bar represents your filtered dates, providing a clear view of the filtered dates in relation to your selected date range.
- Time series: This shows your chosen metric across the selected date range. To explore outliers or varying dates, click on a date or drag to select multiple dates, which will filter the rest of the dashboard.
