Matching Products

There are three ways to match your retailer products to the definitions you have provided in Product Master:

  1. Via CSV upload if your matches are already stored in a file or spreadsheet.

  2. Using the "Quick Match" tool to match several at once.

  3. Using the normal "Match" option to match a specific product.

How to upload product matches

  1. Follow this guide to check that you have your data in the right format to upload.
  2. Above the "Unmatched Retailer Products" table, click the "Upload Matches" button
  3. Click "Upload File", select your file, and then click "Confirm".
  4. Select the appropriate columns in your upload file and click "Upload".
  5. A report should appear telling you how many matches have been loaded successfully.
  6. Click "Done" to close the pop-up.
  7. 🎉 Matching complete! You'll see your master product matched with the Retailer product in the "Matches" table.

💡 Helpful tips

  • For a match to be accepted, both the retailer SKU and internal unique code must be recognised by SKUtrak.
  • If your upload includes a match for a retailer product code which already has an existing match, the existing data will be overwritten.
  • If any matches fail to upload, look at the Error reason in the table display to see why. Fix the impacted rows in your upload file and try again.

How to use the Quick Match function to match products

  1. Above the table, click the "Quick Match" button.
  2. The matching pop-up will appear. Select the product definition which matches the Retailer SKU shown at the top from the suggestions.
  3. If it isn't there, use the search bar to locate it. If you still can't find it, you can use the "Create Product" button to create a new definition.
  4. Click "Save and Next" to save the match and bring up the next unmatched product.
  5. Run through the remaining products - you can click "Skip" if there are any you don't want to match yet.
  6. When you've made the final match, click "Save and Close"
  7. 🎉 Matching complete! You'll see these products matched in the "Matches" table.

💡 Helpful Tips

  • If you only want to match a subset of products, such as one category or one retailer, use the filters on the pending page to select them before clicking "Quick Match".
