Learn how to use the Store Rate of Sale dashboard

Summary

The Store Rate of Sale dashboard provides detailed insight into your sales velocity. It shows you the Rate of Sale by SKU across regions, formats and stores for the past 2 years. Use it to: 

• Spot SKU/region or format combinations which have a high RoS, but low distribution, suggesting they would be good candidates for a distribution increase
• Identify stores with particularly high or low RoS to understand which store factors impact performance and direct targeted in-store interventions. 

Setting up the dashboard

The dashboard gives you three configuration options in the top bar, from left to right:

• Select Metric: Choose which metrics to view on the dashboard. Select between Rate of Sale Value or Volume.
• Start Date: Set the start date for your window.
• End Date: Set the end date for your window.

What's on screen

There are four components on-screen, from top to bottom:

• Product Breakdown: In the top left, the bar on the product breakdown shows the selected Rate of Sale metric, and the grey box shows the number of stores a product is ranged in. 
• Format/Region Table: in the top right of the screen is a table showing Rate of Sale by region (top to bottom) and format (left to right). Hover over any cell to highlight the stores in the region/format combination on the variance graph.  
• Variance graph: The graph in the bottom left displays the variance in each store's rate of sale compared to the average rate of sale.
• Map: in the bottom right of the screen, a map shows the selected rate of sale metric broken down by each region. The rate of sale in each region is shown in the circle, and the region is coloured by the same number indicating the best and worst region rate of sale. Click on the region to filter down to the Stores within the region.
