Learn how to add/remove users, what to do if you are added as a user and how to useSKUtrak's roles to manage permissions

Meeting shopper demand is a collaborative effort and the good news is there are never any costs or limits to adding users on SKUtrak.  We encourage you to inform your colleagues to make the most of having your team here. Follow this handy guide to invite them or read below if you have been invited as a user.

There are never any costs or limits to adding users on SKUtrak so please inform your colleagues. Once logged in, simply follow the checklist instructions to invite the rest of your team and maximise the value you get from the platform.

Roles

User Roles govern the actions that users can take on the platform. SKUtrak has the following user roles:

  • Owner: The owner and main contact for the SKUtrak account, with full permissions across the site. 
  • Admin: The administrators of the SKUtrak account, responsible for creating and managing teams (see below). Can take any action except editing or deleting the organisation.
  • Manager: Managers of the teams they are a part of. Can invite users, manage product data and create/edit data sources.
  • Member: The main role for most SKUtrak users. Can invite users, view, interact with and export from SKUtrak's dashboards and reports.

Each role inherits the permissions from the level below it. For example, a user with the Admin role will also have the permissions associated with the Manager role.

User roles can be managed on the Settings -> Users page:

How do I add a new user?

To add a user:

  1. Go to Settings -> Users

  2. Click 'Invite User' in the top-right
  3. Insert the email, role and teams for the user you want to add.
  4. Click 'Send'

The new user will receive an email with a button they have to click to accept the invite.

 

How do I remove a user?

Only Managers, Admins and Owners can remove users and we would encourage your organisation access to be continuously reviewed. To remove a user:

  1. Go to Settings -> Users
  2. Click the checkbox next to the name of the user you want to remove
  3. Click 'Delete' in the top-right of the Active Users table
  4. Click 'Accept' on the pop-up

The user's access to your SKUtrak organisation will be removed immediately.

 

How do I change the role of an existing user?

Only Admins and Owners can change a user's role. To change the role of a user:

  1. Go to Settings -> Users
  2. Click on the role drop-down next to the user whose role you would like to change
  3. Select the new role in the drop-down

The user's permissions will update immediately to reflect their new role.

How do I transfer ownership of the organisation?

Only Owners can transfer ownership. To change the owner:

  1. Go to Settings -> Organisations

  2. Click "Change" in the bottom-right of the tile of the Organisation you would like to transfer ownership of.
  3. A pop-up will appear. Select the team member you would like to transfer ownership to.
  4. Click "Save"

The new owner will receive an email notifying them of this change.

 

 

I’ve been invited as a new user - where do I go?

  1. As a new user, you will receive an email with a login prompt:



2. Once you have selected the login button in the email, you will be redirected to the platform to create your password.

 

3. Please ensure you have validated your email address after password creation.

 

4. Now you have access to the platform, to get started and maximise using SKUtrak, we would recommend you follow our tour alongside our handy guides.

5. Premium users, please discuss training requirements with your Account Administrator as you will have access to an appointed Customer Success Manager to guide you through.
